How will the preservation affect the
color of my flowers?
Most flowers may change color during the
preservation process. White roses and other white flowers will
preserve a more alabaster-yellow tint. Red roses and some other
red flowers will preserve darker red .The black baccara rose will
preserve black. Calla lilies preserve very well. The white can turn from alabaster to
light yellow. Stargazer lilies preserve very well also. The
pink will turn lighter lavender. Some very soft pink roses
turn into a soft beige. Most flowers change during the
preservation a few shades darker. Also, flowers may shrink somewhat
during preservation.
What should I do
before you receive the flowers from me?
A successful preservation depends on many
things, such as how the flowers are treated before they get
to the florist and then into the hands of our flower
preservationists. The fresher and better the flowers, the better the result. It is important
to keep all flowers cool in the refrigerator, and in water or on a
moist oasis. Any brown spots or fungus will show up more
after preservation. DO NOT put
flowers in a freezer or otherwise allow them to freeze.
Flowers can get damaged by to much handling,
laying them down on their side, lack of water, heat, or freezing.
What if my flowers are in poor condition by the time my
event is over? Are you able to repair my arrangement?
We will replace damaged flowers with fresh
flowers that can be provided by your florist or from your other
arrangements from the event. We can also order them totally fresh
if needed. The price of the replacement flowers will be the
marked value at the time of ordering.
How do I know these are my flowers and bouquet when they are
finished?
Every flower arrangement and other items we receive to be
preserved will photographed, cataloged, and registered. This
ensures your order will be kept separate from other orders, and
will be properly preserved according to your specifications.
All ribbons will be cleaned or replaced with clean fresh ribbon.
How do I get my flowers to you, and how do you return them
to me?
We have convenient pick up and delivery
service in some areas, please contact us to make arrangements.
We also offer shipping arrangements that will keep your items
safe.
How do you preserve the flowers?
Our preservation process is a natural
process that extracts the moister and keeps the colors vibrant and
as true as possible, and also maintains the natural shape of the
flower.
What if the wedding or event happened a long time ago?
We can recreate any bouquet or arrangement if you provide a
picture or list of flowers that were used. We will order the
flowers fresh, redesign the bouquet, and preserve it. Flower
preservation makes for a great Birthday, Wedding, Anniversary, or
Christmas gift!
How soon do you need the flowers?
We need your flowers as soon as possible after your event.
Make arrangements early with us before your event for pickup at
the reception or other location. We work with your
coordinator or florist. We also provide easy overnight
shipping instructions and a shipping kit if needed.
How soon do you need non-flower items to be encased?
We need the keepsake items as soon as possible to select
the proper size of encasement. You may send your items to us
in the mail, or we can pick them up in many locations.
Please make sure to insure them if shipping. Always call us
first and make arrangements with us before shipping anything.
How long will the preservation take?
The preservation process can take from 2 to 12 days
depending on the flowers. If you made your encasement choice
early, you could have your finished product in 2 to 3 weeks.
During active wedding seasons, it may take longer. Rush
orders are available for an extra charge.
Could I keep flowers without an encasement after they are
preserved?
No! Preserved flowers are fragile and will absorb
moisture, fungus, and insects without a sealed encasement.
Your flowers could be destroyed in a few days with high humidity.
We recommend the investment of a high quality encasement in order
to enjoy your flowers as a cherished keepsake for generations to
come.
How long do the preserved flowers last?
We provide UV protected encasements and conservatory style
glass. Make sure to keep the encasement out of direct
sunlight, hot lamps, and humid moist environments. Your
keepsake will last for decades. All keepsakes will antique
over time. Aging can change the colors just as in any
artwork. We treat and seal all encasements to retain the
best colors as long as possible. There are no guarantees
against scratches, fading, or damages.
What if I am not pleased with the finished encasement?
We make every effort to please out customers. If
there is anything you do not like, we try our best to correct it
within reason. All alterations to the keepsakes must be
reported within 3 days of receipt of the finished product.
If problems cannot be resolved, the keepsake must be returned and
charges will be refunded, less the initial deposit, down payment,
shipping fees, handling fees, and pickup fees. There is no
guarantee of refund after 3 days of receiving the encasement.
How do I care for my encasement?
Clean it with a cloth. Do not use any harmful
chemicals. Keep it away from direct sunlight, hot lamps, and
moisture.

you use our local pick-up service). Your deposit ensures a
time and place is reserved for your pickup, and a timely place in
line for preservation. At this time, we also give you access
to information and help you make a final selection on an
encasement.
How is my product returned to me?
We offer local delivery service, or UPS shipping.
Shipping costs vary based on encasement size and your location.
Local pickup and delivery is normally $30. You must notify
us in writing if you need to use a different address for shipping
than what we have on file for you. After completion, we will
hold the products for one month if you have not made arrangements
for delivery or shipping. After one month, a $20 storage fee
per month applies. After 3 months, the products become
property of Lasting Legacies, and your keepsake items are disposed
of.
